One of the worthwhile tings of Facebook is that from time to time it reminds you of things that you posted some years ago. Apparently on the 10 February 2013 I posted the following comment on Facebook.
“Maureen and I have been to the Dragons Head for Sunday Lunch and a couple of bottles of Pinot Grigo. I am now reading a Michael Connolly book (on both my Kindle and my computer) whilst listening to Bedřich Smetana’s “The Bartered Bride”. This is what retirement was supposed to be about.
Apart from Maureen taking the last Tunnock’s Teacake from the Kitchen cupboard.”
The picture brings a few tears to my eyes. It’s seeing a youthful Roy Williamson and Pete Crane, when his hair still had colour. Also two sadly, and much loved, absent friends. I suspect the photo was a little before 2013.
