Poppy Font

On Remembrance Sunday the congregation of St. Michael the Archangel was treated to a wonderful commemorative display of poppies which decorated the Font.

The poppies were knitted by Barbara Atkinson, ably assisted by Ursula Greetham, Anne Symonds and Angie Rothwell.

The arrangement was beautifully designed and implemented by Corrine Woolard.

The ladies are to be complimented because the result is a most tasteful and attractive display.

  1. I find it quite interesting that when I posted this same photo and comment on Facebook, 14 people responded to it.

Why is it that people in Whittington are less involved in happenings in the village than are people who no longer live here, but still keep themselves informed?
