(B6254 KIRKBY LONSDALE ROAD, ARKHOLME, LANCASTER CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Kirkby Lonsdale Road, Arkholme from a point outside property known as Red Well House on Kirkby Lonsdale Road to a point outside property known as Storrs Hal B6254 Kirkby Lonsdale Road.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative daily between 0930 hours and 1500 hours from Monday 2nd March 2020 until Friday 6th March 2020 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
B6254 Kirkby Lonsdale Road – B6254 Main Street – B6254 Church Street to Robraine – B6254 Robraine – into Cumbria – A683 Burrow Road – A683 Tunstall Road – A683 Melling Road – A683 Main Street – A683 Lancaster Road – A683 Lancaster Road – A683 Hornby Road – A683 Lancaster Road – A683 Caton Road – A683 Bay Gateway – A6 Lancaster Road – A6 Main Road – A6 Slyne Road – A6 Bypass Road – A6 Main Road – A6 Lancaster Road – B6254 Kellet Road – B6254 Kirkby Lonsdale Road and Vice Versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow highway safety lining works to be carried out.
